Thank you to the many people who have been tirelessly preparing book trailers and notebooks based on the books. I have taken things from a number of sources and placed them in my lesson plans. I hope you enjoy them, use them, but most of all give me feedback on them. Being a NST I am still struggling with my accreditation. I am also attaching task cards to go with the lessons.
With Mother's Day approaching, I thought I would do something a bit different for my students this week. I produced a ppt on the history of Mother's Day.
And here are some great free Mother's Day coupons I found. Thanks to pennypinchinmom.com
Well the CBCA shortlist has been released and I provided a new song to be played at the event. Here it is, feel free to use it but please acknowledge me.
Well it has been a while since I blogged. Life is so busy - helping partner with research and editing for PhD, finishing off my Celebrancy course, working on my New Scheme Teacher stuff and finishing off my bookweek song.
But I do have time to post my Easter Story. I wrote it when I was working for Parramatta City Library as we had 90% of attendees at storytime that came from OS and didn't know much about Easter and I found it hard to find a suitable book. At the moment it is a publisher file but one of these days when life slows down I will change it to a digital format. Feel free to use it, just acknowledge where it came from. Thanks. ENJOY!!!
I have been so busy trying to settle into the school life to be able to blog but I have just completed some library monitor competency forms. I hope you like them. I have also updated my pinterest - added a lot more pins.
Well, apart from my main computer crashing just as my partner was working on their Phd and spending most of yesterday trying to fix it, I have now finished my library monitors application form. I hope you all like it and feel free to comment and share it.
This is a pdf file of the library monitor application form.
Sorry, A few alterations to my dewey bingo. Enjoy.
I have a passion for literature. I changed from being a Children's Librarian to a Teacher Librarian as I wanted to help kids get a love of reading, books and finding information. I use a lot of thing of things including puppets, songs, books, games etc. to try and give kids this love. Join me in my journey as I discover how to do this within a curriculum based RFF program.
It is January 2013, school is about to start for the year.
I want to start the year organised. I have decorated the library and made forms to help with borrowing habits and to make library lessons fun.
Feel free to use any of these ideas.
All comments are welcome.
